Kimi Ratanamorn

Celebrating Kimi’s forties with a mix of portraits.

I met Kimi last year when she came to visit the Derby Dream Team (a chapter of Business Networking International located in Derby, Kansas).  She had been the stylist of another chapter member, Jenny Russel (who is another powerhouse of her own), for over a decade. I feel like Kimi and I met at the perfect time, because around the same time I was realizing I wanted to transition my business to serve business professionals and also give women an incredible portrait experience. Of course, that involved professional hair and make up for my clients. I admit it took entirely way too long for me and Kimi to start working together and we recently did for the first time. But between our first meeting and actually working together I got to know Kimi - the ICT Glam Goddess, also known as the Asian Goddess, around the Wichita area - on a deeper level.

Kimi is a mom of four and her world revolves around them. Her youngest are Irish twins and let’s be real, they are her minis. She does it all on her own and for those parents who are doing the same, I know you’ve probably lost count of the sacrifices made to give your children a wonderful life. Thank you for all you do! You are showing your little people we can chose to do it all. Life’s twists and turns aren’t enough to stop you.

Through it all Kimi’s been the professional stylist behind AGLAEA. She is well-known throughout the Wichita community as a go-to hair and makeup artist and fun spirit who is unapologetically herself. From a night out on the town, to styling for galas, to routine color-cut-and-style, or simply to just treat yourself to a beauty makeover. And she’s darn good too!

Her most recent venture has been the launch of Country Caviar Management, a boutique artist management firm that brings “high-end to the hoedown!” She’s represented up-and-coming local music artists in the midwest with her most recent being Katie Jo Music (you can check her out here), who is going to be opening for Willie Nelson at Wichita’s 50th Riverfest in June 2022.  She’s responsible for bookings, personal styling, merchandizing and so much more to help her artists bring their personalized vision to life on and beyond the stage.  When I asked her why she decided to launch Country Caviar, she simply told me, “I live to help others realize their dreams and the music industry gives me a chance to blend my styling skills with event management and work with some incredible artists. I need you to see what I see in you.”  She’s also in the process of launching a clothing line to help shape the fashion trends among the country music community (shhh!! I cannot say anymore as I was sworn to secrecy).

Since working together, Kimi mentioned she’s turning forty years young next month. This meant one thing. Get Kimi in front of my camera! We collaborated on creating a mix of personal branding shots and some personal portraits that celebrate Kimi as she welcomes her forties with exhilaration and anticipation of what the future will bring. I’m pretty thrilled to rub shoulders with this chick.

Kimi’s fun portraits.
